Years ago, Abbott Laboratories asked o2 Group to develop a website where different employee types at their Abbott Park location could go to schedule personal training and massage services, hydro massage appointments, and reserve one of the many recreation fields. The site also needed to be developed outside of Abbott or AbbVie internal systems so that everyone can have access. The original Schedule Activities Now (SAN) site was developed back in 2015 and has undergone various revisions over the years as well as evolved into a platform that can be used to create a sub-site when there is a special outing that needs it's own hub outside of the SAN offerings.
Web Design and Development
Schedule Activities Now provides an easy and convenient way to schedule AP6D Fitness Center Hydro massage services, and the Abbott Park Recreation Fields. The site is only available to Abbott and AbbVie employees, contractors, interns and retirees. A user is required to create an account and then be verified against an eligibility file that is updated weekly in order to access the platform.
Sub-site Design and Development
Abbott has been hosting a Golf Tournament for many years. Registration had always been done manually so in 2023, Abbott decided it was time to automate the process. Knowing they already had an existing Sports and Activities platform (SAN), they tasked us with utilizing the existing system to create a sub-site specific for the Golf Outing. People can now register online, receive confirmation emails, and join the wait-list development with the development of the Sports and Activities Golf Outing site. Future outings can now easily move from a manual to online process if needed.
